Ingredients: - 1 red skinned apple
- 1 tablespoons lemon juice
- 100g mixed salad leaves
- 75g white cabbage, roughly chopped
- 2 sticks of celery, trimmed and sliced.
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 50g walnut pieces
- 25g sultanas
- 100g mature cheddar cheese, coarsely grated
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper.
Method: - Core and dice the apple and toss in the lemon juice to prevent discolouration.
- Mix together the salad leaves, chopped cabbage and celery with the mayonnaise. For consistent results and to save time we recommend using a multi-chopper when preparing the salad ingredients. Divide between 4 individual salad bowls.
- Mix together the walnut pieces, apple pieces and sultanas. Divide this mixture between the 4 salad bowls.
- Finally sprinkle over the grated cheese and season to taste.
