Oriental Pork Stir Fry
Oriental Pork Stir Fry

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons cornflour
  • 2 teaspoons Chinese 5 spice stir fry seasoning
  • 350g pork fillet, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 clove of garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 red pepper, deseeded and sliced into strips
  • 150ml pineapple juice
  • 2 tablespoons white wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soft brown sugar


Method:

  1. Place the cornflour in a large plastic bag and add the Chinese 5 spice stir fry seasoning.
  2. Add the pork pieces and shake well until the meat is evenly coated.
  3. Using a 'V' bladed Vegetable Slicer, slice the peppers into strips. Heat the oil in a wok and add the onion, garlic and red pepper strips. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add the pork and stir fry for a further 3-4 minutes.
  5. Add the pineapple juice, vinegar, soy sauce and sugar. Cook until the sauce has thickened. Serve immediately, if liked with boiled rice.
