Ingredients: - 8 small tuna steaks cut approx. 1cm thick, each weighing around 75g
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons tartare sauce
- Finely grated zest of half a lemon
- Some lettuce leaves
- 8 burger buns
- 4 tomatoes, sliced
Method: - Brush the tuna steaks with olive oil and season generously.
- In a small bowl mix together the mayonnaise and tartare sauce. Add the lemon zest and salt and pepper to taste. Stir well and leave for the flavours to mingle for about 20minutes, whilst the tuna steaks are cooked.
- The tuna steaks can be cooked on a barbecue, under the grill or on a griddle. Cook for 10-12 minutes, turn just once.
- Arrange some lettuce leaves in each of the burger buns. Add a tuna steak to each and top with a dollop of the flavoured mayonnaise. Finish with some tomato slices.
