Ingredients: - Half a teaspoon ground cumin
- Half a teaspoon ground coriander
- Half a teaspoon chilli powder
- A pinch of ground ginger
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tuna steaks, each weighing about 150g
- 150g mixed salad leaves
Method: - If not already ground; grind the spices in a pestle and mortar. Place in a small bowl and add 1 tablespoon of the olive oil, mix to a paste.
- Coat the tuna steaks in the spices and allow to marinate for about an hour.
- Heat the remaining olive oil in a griddle pan and add the tuna. Cook on each side for about 3 minutes, turning just once.
- Cut the hot tuna into thick slices and arrange on a bed of the salad leaves. Serve immediately with fresh vegetables or rice salad.
