Seared Thai Style Tuna
Seared Thai Style Tuna

Ingredients:

  • Half a teaspoon ground cumin
  • Half a teaspoon ground coriander
  • Half a teaspoon chilli powder
  • A pinch of ground ginger
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tuna steaks, each weighing about 150g
  • 150g mixed salad leaves

Method:

  1. If not already ground; grind the spices in a pestle and mortar. Place in a small bowl and add 1 tablespoon of the olive oil, mix to a paste.
  2. Coat the tuna steaks in the spices and allow to marinate for about an hour.
  3. Heat the remaining olive oil in a griddle pan and add the tuna. Cook on each side for about 3 minutes, turning just once.
  4. Cut the hot tuna into thick slices and arrange on a bed of the salad leaves. Serve immediately with fresh vegetables or rice salad.
